By accessing or using OldSchoolStore (oldschoolstore.in), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users — buyers, sellers, donors, and visitors. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

OldSchoolStore is a free community marketplace. We provide a platform where parents and guardians can:

• Post listings for second-hand school uniforms, books, bags, and other school items
• Browse listings from other parents at their school
• Contact sellers directly via WhatsApp to arrange exchange

OldSchoolStore is NOT:

• A retailer or seller of school uniforms
• An agent, broker, or intermediary in any transaction
• A party to any agreement made between buyers and sellers
• Responsible for the quality, safety, or condition of listed items
• A courier, logistics, or payment service provider

To use OldSchoolStore, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a parent, guardian, or authorised representative of a school student
• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Have a valid Indian mobile number for WhatsApp contact

If you post a listing on OldSchoolStore, you agree that:

• The item you are listing actually exists and is in your possession
• Your description of the item (condition, size, grade, photos) is accurate and not misleading
• You own the item or have the right to sell/donate it
• You will honour the listing if a buyer contacts you in good faith
• You will remove the listing once the item is sold or given away
• You will not post duplicate or spam listings
• The price listed is in Indian Rupees (₹) and is the actual asking price

If you contact a seller or purchase an item through OldSchoolStore:

• You are responsible for verifying the item before completing a transaction
• You agree to meet sellers in a safe, public location
• OldSchoolStore is not responsible for items that do not match their description
• All disputes are between you and the seller — OldSchoolStore has no role in resolving them
• You will not harass, threaten, or misuse the contact information of sellers

The following are strictly prohibited on OldSchoolStore:

• New items misrepresented as used — all listings must be genuinely second-hand
• Counterfeit, fake, or stolen school uniforms or books
• Items that are unsafe, damaged beyond wearable condition, or unhygienic
• Non-school items (electronics, food, personal care products, etc.)
• Commercial sellers or businesses listing in bulk without disclosure
• Creating multiple accounts to spam listings
• Posting misleading prices, then negotiating significantly higher amounts
• Any content that is offensive, discriminatory, or violates Indian law
• Collecting buyer data for purposes other than completing the listed transaction

Violations may result in listing removal and permanent account ban without notice.

All listings are subject to review and approval by OldSchoolStore administrators before they are published. We reserve the right to:

• Approve, reject, or remove any listing at our sole discretion
• Edit listing titles or descriptions for clarity (without altering facts)
• Remove listings that are sold, duplicated, or violate these terms
• Suspend or permanently ban accounts that repeatedly violate our policies

Rejection of a listing does not entitle you to any compensation, as the service is provided free of charge.

OldSchoolStore does not process, handle, or mediate any payments between buyers and sellers. All financial transactions are entirely between the buyer and seller.

• We recommend exchanging items in person in a safe, public place
• We recommend inspecting items before payment
• We recommend using secure payment methods (cash in person, UPI to verified contact)
• OldSchoolStore is not liable for any loss, fraud, or dispute arising from a transaction

For your safety, we recommend:

• Meet in a public place — school gate, nearby market, or shopping centre
• Bring someone along when meeting a stranger
• Do not share your home address with strangers
• Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, cancel the transaction
• Report suspicious users or listings to us at info@oldschoolstore.in

All content on OldSchoolStore — including the name, logo, design, and original text — is owned by OldSchoolStore. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our branding without written permission.

By posting photos or content on OldSchoolStore, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform. You confirm that you own or have the right to use the content you post.

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, OldSchoolStore and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any loss or damage arising from transactions between buyers and sellers
• The accuracy, quality, or condition of listed items
• Any fraudulent activity by users of the platform
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical errors
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Since OldSchoolStore is offered free of charge, our total liability to any user shall not exceed ₹0 (zero rupees).

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Any disputes arising from the use of OldSchoolStore shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. We encourage users to first attempt to resolve disputes amicably by contacting us at info@oldschoolstore.in.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@oldschoolstore.in. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
